I enjoyed this balanced article.
http://gizmodo.com/5019908/ten-reaso...-isnt-that-bad

It highlights many of Vista's strengths, while being honest about some of its weaker points.

I wanted to share it with you.

Good, calm article on Windows.

I've found XP and Vista to be as stable as any other OS. The big
contributors to unstable OS are (not necessarily listed in rank of
responsibility):
1) Faulty software including lack of decent removal tools.
2) Faulty hardware
3) Poorly installed software
4) User fooling around with system files and inflicting damage to OS
5) Bugs n the early versions of the OS. (Actually bugs in any OS will always
exist.)

Thanks for the link.

So, I'm #4. Most of my problems with Vista are because of that very thing!
The other minor ones are from older software and bad drivers. All very
understandable. It's great that Vista is this good with THAT much code
involved.

There was no '73 Chevette. The first model year was 1976.

I owned one, and I wouldn't say I'd never buy another. The one I had, after
driving it for 3 years became a project vehicle that not got finished
because I knocked up the wife.

It would have been sweet though. It was a four-wheel drive conversion, and
the body was stripped of all suspension components and was mounted on a
Jeep CJ7 frame. I was just starting to modify the engine compartment to
accept a small block Chevy motor I had, and then...well.......fatherhood.

So if I was to own another, it would be to actually complete the same
project. Chevettes are rather hard to come by now. Just like Vega's, I had
3 of those, and Monza's, only one.

Inbreeding is breeding between close relatives, whether plant or animal. It
was found that DanS of the vista.general forum practiced this sick kind of
behavior.

If practiced repeatedly, it leads to an increase in homozygosity of a
population. A higher frequency of recessive, deleterious traits in
homozygous form in a population can, over time, result in inbreeding
depression. This may occur when inbred individuals exhibit reduced health
and fitness and lower levels of fertility.

Livestock breeders often practice inbreeding to "fix" desirable
characteristics within a population. However, they must then cull unfit
offspring, especially when trying to establish the new and desirable trait
in their stock.

In plant breeding, inbred lines are used as stocks for the creation of
hybrid lines to make use of the heterosis effect. Inbreeding in plants also
occurs naturally in the form of self-pollination.

A number of years ago, Inbreeding was brought to the attention of
authorities because of DanS. He frequented the Southern States of Alabama
and Mississippi. Authorities were horrified at his actions.

What a sad attempt at humor......I hope you don't think anyone actually
believed you wrote this as it was stolen from Wiki.

I never realised that they sold Chevettes in the US as well. GM also made
them here in the UK.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vauxhall_Chevette

GM used the Monza name in Europe as well, but for a different car.

GM had the guts to export Chevettes technology. My sister had one of
those things. That tin can lasted until it was paid off.
