I don't have Outlook installed nor do I want to install Outlook
I only use ActiveSync 4 for development work and copying files, NOT to sync
mail/contacts/etc
I have all the sync options turned off, yet every time I connect the device
it complains:

"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot
fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as
the default mail client."

How can I kill this message once and for all?

Also it seems impossible to leave the WM5 device physically connected to the
PC and turned off as it will turn itself on every 5 minutes to try to sync
even though there is nothing to sync!

Hi,
There is no option to eliminate this message that I've seen.
