ASUS DVD-E616A3T doesn't like S3 sleep

My Asus dvd-rom E616A3T works perfectly until s3 sleep. Upon waking up
this drive shows up in My Computer just fine but refuses to play
anything dvd or game until a restart then it plays perfectly again. I
updated Asus' latest drivers and firmware for this drive and now i can
actually see the name of the dvd in the drive (couldn't see the disc's
name before updating the firmware) but still nothing plays until after a
restart.

I'm hoping SP1 will fix this minor problem but all my minor glitches so
far have been solved and i haven't got SP1 yet.

Help?
