ATI AIW 7500 UPDATE - TV won't initialize

XP SP2, ATI AIW 7500.

A hardware update appeared in Windows Update for my ATI All in Wonder 7500.
I installed it and now, when I try and open TV, I get an error message
"unable to start TV" "The TV player failed to initialize the video".

And, everytime I reboot I get "found new hardware" but I have no idea what
drivers I need or where to begin looking to find out.

If anyone knows of a solution or how I can uninstall this update (it doesn't
appear o be listed in add/remove programs) I would certainly appreciate
hearing it.

Thank you!

Try use device manager and select display adapator to rollback the drivers.

That solved 1/2 the problem, I don't get "found new hardware" when I reboot,
but, I still get the same error message when trying to open TV?

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Do not use Microsoft update drivers for an ATI All-In-Wonder 7500 through
X800 it won't work, it is based on a newer Catalyst version.

Use ATI Catalyst v.6.2 and note this is the last version of Catalyst drivers
that will work with MCE 2005, if you are using ATI Medea Center you may use a
new version of Catalyst.

I hope it helps

Thanks Leon,

Had to uninstall everything then re-installed catalyst 4.7 with MMC 7.7.0.1.
no DVD. I refused to send ATI money to get a disk that would allow me to
update to a later version of catalyst. So the highest I can go is 4.7.
