ATI Catalyst Control Center stops working after SP3 installation.
Reinstallation of the ATI CCC does not help. (I used the most fresh software
from the AMD site.) And there is an oddity, there is no the SP3 update
number (KB936929) among installed updates. Instead of KB936929 I see next
numbers: KB960715, KB967715, KB951376 and KB951698.

Can somebody help me?

Thank you

Lev

Have you tried the ATi site -

http://ati.amd.com/companyinfo/contact/index.html

post a 'ticket' - I used them quite a lot a few years ago and found them
most helpful.

I also have this link to a forum - there are others though

http://forums.legitreviews.com/forum-5.html

When you say 'there is no SP3 update KB number among installed updates' - do
you mean in the list in C:\Windows? You are correct - it is not in mine and
neither was SP2 - but it should be listed in Add/Remove - there probably is
a technical reason why.

Did you try intstalling the latest ATI CCC and video drivers? I had a
problem with the monitor not powering off during after the time set in power
schemes after installing SP3. I unintstalled the ATI drivers and installed
the latest and the problem went away. There were some other "funnies"
reported with pre-SP3 ATI drivers.

Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for
Windows XP, but only for Service Pack 3 (SP3) and *only until* 14 Apr-09 so
get a move on! Go to
http://support.microsoft.com/oas/def...spx?gprid=1173 | select "Windows
XP" then select "Windows XP Service Pack 3"
