By the time the hardware drivers get signed and published, they are already
months or years out of date. Also, the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"
rule applies. If you are having video issues, seek a current driver from the
manufacturer. If you see Windows Update offering a newer driver for your
video card, it's because the manufacturer thought it was necessary for some
reason. Your best bet is to go to the manufacturers site and get a driver
that's probably 6 months more recent.
