After receiving numerous pop up messages telling me there is a newer version
of msn, when I sign into msn, i finally did it......
bad idea....
download worked perfectly & easily....
now messenger screen comes up for sign in, which i do, and on same screen it
says 'signing in' with the two little dudes spinning around. i place the
mouse over the spinning dudes that are also located at the bottom of my
screen....and nothing ever happens.
I close out of messenger & then my outlook stops working & i have to reboot;
any existing internet windows must be closed & reopened before i can use
I've tried looking for older versions of msn online (even without the 'live'
portion) and can't seem to run anything without it asking me to update it
when i try to access messenger.
Has anyone else ever had this or have ANY ideas for me?? I am so frustrated!
thx in advance!

Hi!

You can try to run Live Messenger on compatibility mode and see if it works.

- Go to C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger
- Right click on msnmsgr then click on properties
- Click on the compatibility tab
- Put a check on "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
- Select Windows 95.
- Click OK
- Try again.

Let us know if this works for the spinning buddies problem.

- Confused
