Creative Audigy sound cards have had some problems in Windows Vista, but ensuring you have the latest Audigy drivers should help. The first release of Vista drivers (during the Vista RC stage and early release) caused audio problems for many users, but the newest release seems much more stable.

Visit the Creative Labs website, then select your sound card from the list:

http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/

Be sure to get the correct version for 32-bit or 64-bit windows (most users are 32 bit).
