Audio and video settings

I have been having issues with my web cam settings ever since I was FORCED to
"upgrade" my msn to live messenger 8.1. I have updated my web cam drivers and
msn still does not "detect" my web cam. When I try to go to the audio and
video settings I get a pop up that say "We are unable to run audio and video
setup". Any ideas as to how I can get around this problem? My computer
registers the cam as being hooked up.

is your cam working with other software?

It is working with other software. I can even go into the webcam settings
with MSN and it shows up there, however whenever I accepted a cam request the
same popup comes up that "we are unable to run audio and video setup". I was
also able to view a friend's web cam.

can you try this?

check your contacts' version of WLM and see who can you connect to the video
