I loaded a Logitech USB camera and tried to start a video chat with MSN
messenger. The video works fine, but both audio controls (mic and speaker)
are "X" ed out.
The mic input and audio output both worked fine when recording and playing
video using Logitech's own application.
I then added a "Soundblaster Live" card, thinking that something might be
wrong with the on-board audio. Again, I got it working perfectly using every
application EXCEPT Messenger. It records WAV files to the hard drive and
plays WINAMP music. Still, MSN messenger has the "X" ed out audio controls.
I'm running XP Pro SP2. What should I try next?
