Hi

I have a Albatron PX925XE motherboard with the Usual onboard Realtek sound
ports.

I simply cannot get RC1 sound to work, although I have it working with the
first Beta
of Windows 7.

tried various drivers, to no avail. Maybe someone will know if there is a
special config
perhaps for RC1 ?

Piet

Microsoft has not yet released Windows 7 RC1. Please do not post Windows 7
inquires in this newsgroup. Instead, post here:

Official support for Windows 7 Beta is offered under the TechNet forums at:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...egory/w7itpro/

What you are reading here is some of the reality instead of the hype about
Windows 7/Vista SP3-- although Microsoft claims driver compatibility with
Vista this is decidedly not the case for a wide variety of hardware.
That is not because of beta software, it is a structural problem with the OS
itself.
That almost killed Vista and makes Win7 beyond irrelevant except to
propeller heads.
In this economy no business, sorry personal users but businesses are
Microsoft's main concern, is going to fritter money on a new OS, Vista or
Win7/Vista SP3, that adds nothing to the bottom line and has the usual
Microsoft glitches right out of the box.
If there is no guarantee of 100% compatibility with existing hardware what
can Microsoft imagine will happen?
While I do not know of a business model for Microsoft to emulate they can
surely do better than mid 1970's American auto manufacturers.
