Why does the audio and video keep freezing up during a conversation??
Sometimes it freezes right away and other times you're able to converse a
little
bit before it freezes and you have to keep calling them back.
It is so frustrating

It could be a variety of things, from one of the drivers for your audio/video to a simple
lack of bandwidth.

Out of curiosity, have you tried other similar applications, like Skype
(http://www.skype.com)?
