AudioFX error / setup.inx (code 2147024864)

I recently had to do a pc recovery...
I've tried to uninstall Rocketfish (webcam+microphone), from pre pc recovery - and it wouldn't so I've done a search for all files (including hidden) and deleted them all.

Each time I try to reinstall ... (even pre deletion of files).. I keep getting this error message
at the point of audio installation:
E:AudioFX/SETUP.INX ..... error code -2147024864

The E drive is my disc drive....
is there a way I can fix this?

(using windows xp)
