XP on Evo600C (256MB/60GB)
Orginal problem: OutLook and IE loosing network connection (but ping is
always working). After loosing connection arestart does not help- but after a
reboot everything is Ok for a couple of hours.
Probable cause: Lack of memory...and/or cpu time(?). (Network, cable, cards
and switches have been ruled out.)

Mobsync is juggling the HD for 3-5 minutes after every boot, unknown reason...
(yet- as I disconnect I find that not all is synced anyhow)

I have seen aupdtsvc acquiring handles at a rate of 10 per second, for a
total of _80k_ handles for aupdtsvc alone (and abt 10k for all other 50
processes).

At shutdown aupdtsvc issues an alarm to the effect of "The instruction @
1000aa08 could not read memory @ 1000aa08" (adresses and read/write change,
but this is the most common).

How come aupdtsvc needs tens of thousands of handles??
Does anybody have a clue??
What should I try next.

Best regards
