I am having trouble with Vista Business edition.

Daylight saving changes appear to have been applied but when I use Hotmail
or a remote work application, the application times do not reflect the
adjusted time.

Can anyone provide some insight or solution ?

thanks ....

You have to determine where each program gets its time from and make sure
that that source is corrected. Some programs, Hotmail, have their own time
system. Those that get it from the OS (Vista) or the CMOS are corrected and
should be okay.

So your local system time is correct?

Which apps show the incorrect time?

As one example, I have use Hotmail. If a send myself an email from my XP
machine, the sent time is correct.
If send myself an email from the Vista machine, the sent time is incorrect
(ie. out by 1 hour).

I will check the CMOS settings. It is a relatively new laptop,

If I send myself an email using Hotmail on my XP machine it is ok. If I send
myself and email on the Vista machine it is out by 1 hour which is the DST
offset.

The local time on the Vista machine is correct.

thanks

What program are you accessing Hotmail from? Internet Explorer of one of
the Mail programs, either from Microsoft or other vendors?
