I have the common sign of Windows Updates gone awry; folder remnants that
cannot be deleted. Of course, the immediate answer to the delete problem
is to adjust the ACL's to the folders to inherit and replace perms. But
why aren't the folders inheriting perms already? How can I discover why
these updates are not being completed to the point of the folder's
deletion? I know the updates shouldn't take so long to complete, but I
have two folders now that still have files in use after roughly 24 hours.
I'm using SMS to deploy the updates, but the principle should be the same
(given that my switches are configured for an automated installation).
