Auto Text in Windows Vista

I am thinking of upgrading to Windows Vista from Windows XP. In Microsoft
Word, I use autotext all the time for templates.

I heard that Windows Vista/MS Word no longer has the autotext feature or
functionality. Is this true? Can you still create Autotext, custom
buttons/toolbars?

Please advise. Thank you

I'm not Word user, so can't tell you much about it. But please note
that there is no such thing as "Windows Vista/MS Word." You can run
many different versions of Word under Vista, the latest version (Word
2007) as well as any of the other recent ones (at least Word 2003,
2002, and 2000).

You can run the same version of Word in Vista as you are currently
using in XP, so in that case the answer would certainly be yes. If you
spend the bucks and move up to Word 2007, you'll still have those
features (although finding them on the ribbon might be a bit of a
challenge).
