The Windows Security Alerts icon in my tray frequently pops up a balloon to
tell me that I do not have automatic updates activated. I know this, and
it's deliberate (I choose to get updates manually and do not want my machine
grabbing & installing things I haven't reviewed first). Is there any way to
shut up the Windows Security Alerts (at least in regard to automatic update
being disabled)? Thanks.

ron;
Open security Center.
On the right side click "Change the way..."
Make selections as desired.

"...installing things I haven't reviewed first)" Do you inspect the code?
Would you recognize a problem in the code? How do you un-assemble the code?
It seems like a lot of work for a non-problem. Automatic updates have been a
god-send in our organization with thirty plus computers.
