Auto. Update disabling

Automatic Update is coming up disabled when I start up my computer. I run
services.msc to enable it and check updates, but returns to disabled when I
shut down and restart. End up with an annoying Norton error indication.
Anyone know what is causing this.

Check the registry value for "UpdatesDisableNotify"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center]
"UpdatesDisableNotify"=dword:00000000
