I have the same problem, the update appears to be installed but a few seconds
later the icon reappears. Unfortunately, the options described in the
suggested article (910339) do not solve it.
For instance, Method 1 suggests installing the Malicious software Removal
Tool, KB890830. As fate has it, the update in question IS KB890830
Just to make sure I downloaded and installed the Tool manually anyhow, but
that didn't slove the problem. Same goes for methods 2 and 3. Which leaves me
with method 4: seeking help.
Any suggestions?
