howdy folks -
Any help will be appreciated -

A group I am associated with has 20 xp pro hp desktops configured for auto
updates from microsoft via a gpo. The gpo is being applied (checked with
gpresult) and registry keys have been changed accordingly (checked with
eyes). The auto update config is auto download and install updates at 2:00
am. No other gpo settings have been configured for these xp desktops
(checked with gpmc).

The policy has been in place for over 10 days. The xp desktops are
configured as (10 with a local admin logged in, 10 at ctrl-alt-del screen).
xp sp2 appears as available when going to windowsupdate via browser.

Problem:
SP 2 does not appear to be downloading. We do not get the EULA pop up or
even a notification that updates are ready to be installed. winver reports
(version 5.1 2600.xpsp2.0304022-1633) service pack 1

question:
any reason why these xp pro desktops would not download and install sp2?

TIA
dip
