I have auto-update ON for my vista. I came home from work and there was an
error messege on the screen. I have found afew threads about people having
the same errors and blue screen of death as i am getting. sometimes i can
load the vista disc at startup but the repair option doesnt fix anything. it
usually runs for awhile then it will restart and on restart the computer
crashes and get errors. error codes are :
\windows\system32\boot\winload.exe
status: 0xc0000098
info: entry not loading app. is missing\corrupt
windows\system32\drivers\volmgrx.sys
status: 0xc0000221
info: crit sys driver missing
I have also tried to restore from vista disc the few times it ran but
couldnt restore because " access denied (0x80070005)"errors come up on all
the restore dates available.
If anyone can help me figure out or has repaired this problem I would very
much appreciate the help.
