I have a acer 3690-2196(Mod) I am almost out of memory. I clean out my Extra
programs that I dont use. I do the scan disk. If I go to control panel then
to Add or remove programs. I dont see any thing else to delete. Except the 2
pages of updates from security updates to hotfixes for xp. I have 60 gb. C
=30 and D= 30.
C , I only have 3 gb andits SLow. D, HAs 25gb left
1 Am I sappose to have so many updates ?
2 Is there something I can do ? Earase them ?
3 Is there some way of putting some data on the D partition ?

Windows version? How do you know you're "almost out of memory"?

Here's a link that will show you how to delete the old hot fix files that are
taking up space on the hard drive will keeping the updates on the computer
http://www.askdavetaylor.com/can_i_d...uninstall.html
This should free up disk space on the C: drive for you.

Is your "my documents" folder on the c: drive? If so you can move it to the
d: drive by following these instructions:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310147

It's important to make a distinction between "memory" and disk space.
Memory is the amount of "RAM" you have and is unrelated to your hard drive.
