Hello,

I am using IE7 on XPSP2. I recently changed a username and password I use
for a website and for some reason autocomplete did not ask me if I want to
use the new username and does not autocomplete the username or password now
unless I use the old ones. Is there some way I can fix just this website's
autocomplete without deleting all autocomplete entries for all websites?
--
Thanks,
Bob

Would you please tell me how to get to that cache so I can delete that
entry?

Again, from my prior reply:

Nirsoft's IE Password Viewer
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/interne..._password.html

Thank you for the tool to delete that entry. However, though the old entry
is now gone, IE still is not saving the new username or password for that
page. So what do I do?

You sure the so-far-unidentified site doesn't use cookies for session data?

Also, is there any possibility that the owner of the site has
configured the page to prevent saving of user names and
passwords. Many banks and similar financial institutions have
implemented that very sensible security precaution.

password.

I have just used Internet Explorer 8 to sign into my eBay
account.

The sign-in screen offers an option to "Keep me signed in for
today". And if you select that option, eBay saves a cookie on
your computer. The cookie will keep you signed in, but only until
midnight..

Internet Explorer no longer invites eBay subscribers to store
User Names or Passwords for long-term use. That is a security
precaution, which has been implemented by eBay.

I am not sure I understand. IE did store my old eBay username and password
up until I changed my username 2 weeks ago. Now it won't store the new one.
So how does the fact it stored the old one and still has it, reconcile with
your last paragraph. I am afraid I don't see how both are possible.
