Autohiding taskbar

I am having problems autohiding my taskbar. Everything set in properties. It
works once and then stays on the desktop! Any suggestions?

The only solution I know to this is to uncheck and then reapply the autohide
setting. It's a minor, but perennial Windows bug me thinks...
