Automatic file renaming error

In WMP 10 i was capable of renaming errandous track names in the player and
the player corrected the file name in the files native folder

Ex. WMP shows unknown artist-12345abc
The File name is the same with .mp3 attached

If i rename it in the advanced tag editor ---- dj Cbread - shuffle mix
Wmp will not change it to dj cbread - shuffle mix.mp3

it changes the file to ---- artist - title unknown artist-12345abc.mp3

Is there a way to correct this? I DJ so this is a feature of WMP i
absolutely need to keep my files arranged and correct for quick searching.

What WMP/Windows version are you using now? Is "Rename music files using
rip music settings" checked in WMP's Options - Library? Does this happen
with more MP3 files or just this one file?
