what did Microsoft install this morning via Automatic Update. It created a
BSOD and is referencing fastfat.sys. How do I reverse this so my computer
will work again?

attachment?
please quickly describe process.
I went into WinXP disc, recov. console, etc etc and uninstalled KB 932168 &
KB925902 while I was at it and think I've got it. Am I missing something? Do
I have to keep AutoUpdates permanently disabled or should I try to reinstall
update?

Reinstall the update but do some preparation first. Clean out your Temp
files and set a System Restore point just in case. Then, DISABLE your
anti virus auto scan before installing the updates.

You should keep autoupdate on but change the settings to Notify instead of
Install. When you see that there are updates inspect them before installing
to see if you need them. make a system restore point and install. If the
updates cause trouble, use System Restore in safe mode to go back to the
point before installing them and block those updates for the future.
