When my SP2 finished installing and I rebooted one item in the Security
Centre which came up which didn't work was "turn on Automatic Updates".
When I asked it to do this it came back with "We're sorry, Security
Centre couldn't change this, try doing it yourself via Systems in
Control Panel etc."
I tried this and if I select any option which appears in Automatic
Updates in 'Systems', it just hangs up with an hourglass.
If I try to say OK or turn off that window it half dissapears and
sometimes I am left with just the grey box of the Window.
If I run services.svc the Automatic Update service is running and so is
the BITS, both with automatic startup.
Has anyone seen a similar problem or a possible fix?
