My XP-SP2-Prof. worked all the time perfektly until the Microsoft-Update
stoped working. I can load the Update-site without errors and the IE shows
"searching for new updates" and does never stop with this message (it never
shows updates). The automatic update also doesn't download anything.
I've stopped the service, deleted the folder "Windows\SoftwareDistribution"
and started the update again - works!
BUT: it only works manual (with IE) until i re-activate the automatic update
for the first time. After that the manual update doesn't work anymore even
when deactivating the automatic update!
Everytime i delete the "SoftwareDistribution"-folder and deactivating the
automatic update, the manual update beginns to work again.

Any ideas??

Regards,

Heiko
