Automatic update keeps "cycling"

Every morning when I boot my Windows XP SP2 machine, the Windows update
function tells me that "Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components
(KB823718)" is ready to install. If I select Install, the install routines
runs and apparently finishes successfully. The next morning I receive the
same message, as if the origonal install did not succeed. THis has been
going on for about 2 weeks (10 cycles). It doesn't seem to matter if I
reboot after the install (or not) or if I forgo the install by selecting
"remind me later" instead of "Install". Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Chris
