Automatic Update Services Failure

I cannot seem to download MS .NET service pack 1 through the automatic update
feature. I use a limited account on a daily basis, so would that restrict
the automatic update process? I am also on a home network with a gateway,
and have dialup. Help would be appreciated. Thank you.
