Automatic update settings

I have automatic updates turned on and set to install the updates early in
the morning. Automatic updates checks for updates every hour and this tends
to slow down my computer. I would like to change this so that automatic
update checks for updates once a day which is really all that is needed since
I only install the updates once a day.
