I have downloaded the new automatic update which is
also bundled in SP2, the V5, (however I haven't
downloaded SP2).
I would like to know if I have downloaded 30 MB of SP2
from the Windows update website, will the automatic
update resume that or just start from the beginning.

I would ASSUME ('assume' being the operative word here), judging by what I
have read on the many web pages regarding SP2, that, as the SP2 download
package "remembers" where it is so that it can pick itself up from where it
stopped, should it be interrupted. So, the answer to your question should be
"Yes, it should resume from the 30MB mark", or where ever it is at the point
of you reading this!"

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply,
I had tested that within manual updates from the
windowsupdate.com, the download will resume, but I was
unsure whether the Automatic update which is embedded in
Windows resume the work done by manual update.

So Thank you
