Running Windows Vista Home Premium OEM on my Acer Extensa 5420-5687 the
automatic update initiated on Sunday. After completing the steps to
installing and rebooting the computer my system failed to start properly.
After manually restarting the computer I lost keyborad and mouse
functionality. Use of an external mouse resulted in the ability to restore
the system back to a saved profile of July 10, 2008. I also noticed that
every time I start the computer there are three windows updates to download
an install. I have made the decision to disable Automatic Updates to prevent
this problem in the future.

Could you please look into this issue?
