I noticed yesterday that I was in need of some critical updates and that my
auto update was disabled. I went to start-control panel-security center to
check it b/c the auto should have been checked. Well, it was not checked. So
then I checked the auto update box and closed the window. the problem is that
everytime i restart my PC the auto update is unchecked again. I can't figure
out why and its driving me nuts. It was working fine until I did a whole
recovery on my PC. How do I make it stay on auto update??

Thanks a million!

Try using control panel "Automatic Updates" to configure your requirements.

Does that solve your problem? Please report back.

Robin,
I have the same issue and used the control panel, automatic updatessetting
to no avail. Was on as administrator too. Once set to auto, after 10
minutes or so it turns itself off. Have run SpyBot and AdaWare to clean and
Norton anti-virus, also defragged and still the same issue. Help, driving me
crazy! Thanks, Rick
