What's the OS installed on the server, your workstation, and the other
workstations on the network ?
If you don't know what Group Policy is then, hopefully, it's not
involved in this scenario. Did someone else administer the network prior
to your doing so ?
How to schedule automatic updates in Windows Server 2003, in Windows XP,
and in Windows 2000
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/327838
For the systems not updating automatically, suggest you right click My
Computer either on the Desktop or Start Menu, then choose Automatic Updates.
Set them to Automatic, Every day, @ 10:OO PM
* The logged on User must have Admin rights in order for the updates to
install *
Delete the Scheduled Task on each workstation
Suggest you take a look at WSUS:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/win...s/default.mspx
That way you can test the updates prior to pushing them out to the
workstations on the network.
