Hi

sbs 2003 standard. In Windows update the options are all disabled thus not
allowing the 'Automatic (Recommended)' option to be selected for automatic
updates. What can I do to enable automatic update option?

Thanks

Regards

Dude do not set automatic updates on the server.

The setting is in the Windows update tab if R2. Do you have R2 or non
R2 (the WSUS integration)?

Then automatic updates on the server itself should not be disabled.

What antivirus is installed, or run a scanner like malwarebyte.org on
that box. I've only seen au disabled when a system has been mangled by
malware.
