automatic updates error

when I try to scan updates I get the following message: [Error number:
0x8024400A]
The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.
Following the advice from Microsoft does not help.

Any idea why?

On 6/16 Jason posted the following. I had the same problem and this fixed
it. ..Peter

Try the following command in a command prompt:
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
Then reboot
