I keep getting the red shield icon in the system tray, telling me that
Automatic Updates are disabled. I enable them, and a few days later I get the
warning again.

Has anyone else had this? I have scanned for visurses using an up-to-date
checker.

it is possbale you have something that is changing the settings.

also are you a admin on the computer. you may not beable to make system

I do not know of any other setings that are being changed. It happens when I
restart Windows.

Tina S's description of the slow deterioration of the performance of her
system sounds like the exact same situation I am in. Is there any answer?
