Is there a problem with automatic updates? Recently, I am getting WinXP
updates on a daily basis (ie: the update icon appears in the taskbar) and
shutdowns now always have to go through the 'install updates' routine. Is
anyone else having this problem and if not, can anyone tell me what my
problem is and how to solve it?

Looking forward to hearing - and thanks.

I had a similar problem but upon inspecting the update window information I
saw that the size of the updates were 0KB! So those updates kept popping up
day after day... I emailed support and the person said to do a manual install
of those specific updates and that solved the problem.

Use Windows Update, and click to go to the history, to see what update
numbers are being repeatedly installed.

Also information about uninstalling KB912475 first (as articulated in other
posts) was most helpful. Thanks.
