Automatic Updates not working and WMP10

Hi everyone. Running XP Pro SP2... Automatic Updates are enabled on my machine, confirmed by the WU
site itself and the security centre. Yet when I visit the site there are two important updates
listed - the GDI+ Detection Tool and .NET Framework 1.1 SP1. Why haven't these been downloaded
automatically?

The other thing I noticed is that WMP10 is listed as an optional update, but it says it's for US
clients only. The Windows Media web page doesn't seem to mention this and I hadn't heard mention of
it before in any of the online articles about the release. Is it safe to install on a UK box? Why
would they offer it up and then say it's not intended for you, that's the whole point of scanning
for the proper set of updates isn't it?

Andrew
