Good explanation, but you forgot to mention that you also need t
actually *start* the OSE service, not just set the starting method a
boot time. So, after switching "startup type" to "manual", also clic
the "Start" button and check that "service status" is changed t
"started". Then install the updates
This worked for me, in any case, and let me install the office update
mentioned above
