Just 10 hours earlier I had checked Windows Update for SP2 and when I found
that it still wasn't available, I shut the PC down. The next day, today, I
get on to check for updates and.....it tells me that I had to set Automatic
Updates to enable in my Services....well, IT IS SET TO AUTOMATIC! I get this
error: 0x8DDD0018 which doens't seem to be a recognized error according to
the search page I went to at Microsoft. I need some help here if anybody has
it...Thank you for your time.

I get this same error - Office Update, on the other hand, works well. I
think MS is flooded with update requests, and I can no longer find XPSP2 on
the MSDN site. Looks like it has been disabled for now. I hear the official
release date is the 20th, but I hope the Windows Update is back up and
running by then...

Hi

What about the BITS service? Set it to Automatic if it
is not, ans see if that helps...
