Automatic Updates switched on but doesnt update?????

Hello all, I have found out that windows service pack is out, and 2 of my
friends explained they have it but you need to turn windows automatic update
on to download it, I have done this but my auto update doesnt work I have
tried everything with no joy, if I go to control/system/automatic-updates it
shows to be on etc????

It will show up as an icon in the lower right hand side of your task bar.
When you click on it it will tell you that updates have been downloaded and
are ready to install. At that point you should close any open programs and
then let it install. I have four computers on my network and so far only
one has received the update.
