Greetings,
Patched versions are possible, but has yet to ever be deployed in a public release.
The automatic update is the same as MSN Messenger. The standard Microsoft procedure for
updating Messenger is only after a release has been out for at least 3 months and sometimes
builds are missed if they're not deemed important. As such, you may see the latest build of
WLM be notified in a few months.
MU is out of the question as Messenger already has its own updating capability. From a
corporate standpoint, MSN has not bought into MU so it won't be there.
