Automatic Updates Won't Stop Coming

I,m always getting the automatic update icon poping up in my task bar. So I
click on it and install the new updates. Then I noticed that the update
numbers started looking familiar. When I checked the installatiion history,
some of the updates I have downloaded at least three times with the download
status being successful. The windows automatic update keeps telling me I
still need to install these cumulative security updates. What is the problem
here? How do I stop getting notices on updates I've already installed?

About a week or so ago I had the same problem but I went to Windows Update
manually and it said I needed all of these new updates which I knew I had
already had. I ended up having to reformat my computer over this because It
got a huge error in the middle of re installing these updates over top of
the updates I already had. I suggest turning off your windows update (the
automatic) for now.
