Hello! I just got a new laptop with windows vista and im hoping for your
help! In my old mail program "Windows Live Mail" back on xp i could just
type a few letters into the send area of the message when i make an
email and it would give me a list of my contacts to choose from. when i
do it on windows mail it wont do the same so i have alot of issues
sending to alot of people. I have my contact list imported on to my pc
so i know that shouldent be the issue. Sorry for being a little dumb on
this subject but i would appriciate the help!

That is known as the auto-complete function.
Windows Mail does not auto-complete from your contacts.
It uses a separate list of the last 29 recipients you've sent mail to.

The auto-complete feature works perfectly in the replacement
program, Windows Live Mail, which uses the standard contacts list
for auto-completion.
You are encouraged to upgrade to the newer WLM program:

As an alternative, in Windows Mail you can click on the To button
which will display a list of all your contacts.

Hello Keywork,

I would recommend to also use Windows Live Mail if you like in Vista as
well. It has better options when it comes to Contacts.

Hope this helps some,
Shawn
