autorun programs in background

I need help cleaning up my autorun programs. It's been five yrs now and I
dont know how to clean them up so my computer doesnt take ten min to boot up.
Can anyone help?

As you are using the web interface, it was probably difficult to find the
correct group in which to post your thread - but you did get a reply.
I would recommend the windowsxp. general if you are using XP.
