I believe that there were two autoupdates (Win XP) yesterday.
Since then, IE8 crashes.
How can I identify autoupdate files and revmove them?
When looked at Add or Remove Programs, autoupdates files were not seen.
(note: system restore was turned off)

You try viewing the Windows Updat Log file to see what actually happened
yesterday:

Click Start||Run and enter: windowsupdate.log

Good luck,

Two (2) IE-specific updates are offered via Automatic Updates recently but
neither were released on 09 Nov-09:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/974455 (13 Oct-09)

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976749 (02 Nov-09)

Note that KB976749 is NOT a critical security update but merely a hotfix for
two very-specific problems a small number of users encountered after
installing KB974455. If you have not encountered either of the prblems, you
do NOT need to install KB976749.
