Dear all,

I am running windows 2003 server with service pack1, and configured WSUS
setting in the registry HK-LM/Software/policy/ms/windows/windowsupdatate.

It can download the patches. And the Automatic Update in the Control Panel
is gray so I can't change anything of it. So I found it will install the
patches at 00:00 am each day (and then reboot since no one interfere it)

I don't want it to reboot automatically, should I change it in the registry?
Is it a setting of a windows domain. Thanks

Configure the server to use AUOptions 3, "Automatically download and
notify of installation". Note that you need to log on to the server to
install the updates with this setting.

In the registry, set the registry value AUOptions to 3 (found under the
key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft \Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU\).

Yes, you can set those AU settings are also with Group Policy (will
override any manual registry edits you have done).

And a fyi:
